Abby Parkes is a fourth-year student at the University of Toronto, completing an Honours Bachelor of Science with a double major in Psychology and Health Studies. Originally from Ottawa, she is passionate about mental health and plans to pursue a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Abby has a particular interest in child and adolescent mental health and hopes to build a career supporting youth and families through evidence-based care.

She is currently completing a practicum placement with Toronto Beaches Psychology, where she is supporting the team with administrative and communications projects while gaining insight into the daily operations of a psychology practice. This experience allows Abby to learn from experienced clinicians and deepen her understanding of both the mental health and administrative aspects of the field as she prepares for graduate training.
